Steuler Catalyst Service Netherlands BV specializes in the development, construction and maintenance of flue gas purifiers for installation behind internal combustion engines. Combustion engines (CHPs) emit harmful substances such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and unburned hydrocarbons (in particular C2H4). Steuler flue gas purifiers convert these harmful components into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O).

The reduction of NOx takes place in the first part of the flue gas purifier with the aid of selective catalytic reduction (SCR). In the second part, the carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons are converted into CO2 by means of oxidation. Due to the high chemical resistance, PVDF couplings are very suitable for the measuring systems in the flue gas purifiers from Steuler.
